Implications from Group B 1st day results
- Senegal and Burkina Faso both can neither qualify for the quarter finals nor become eliminated before the final group match.
- Mali cannot be eliminated from the competition before the final group match, but can make quarter final qualification already perfect by winning their next game against Burkina Faso
- Kenya will need at least a draw against Senegal to avoid premature elimination
