Egypt - Zimbabwe 2:1
Two second half Egyptian goals from goalmouth scrambles denied debutants Zimbabwe a possible surprise.
|
With a beatiful header Ndlovu had seen the outsiders in front short after halftime. But a clumsy clearing attempt bounced back from the foot of an Egyptian striker into the net what would be the equaliser only few minutes later. Egypt who had more chances, scored the second goal right away. Zimbabwe almost had an equalising opportunity in the final seconds, but Egypt were able to hold on.
